Did you ever wonder why just when you think your have your life figured out there is a change? The change could be for good or bad but you may never know unless you allow change to occur?

We have been rebuilding our kitchen and sometimes the way we see the kitchen in our heads is not the way that it will work out. But again this is one of those little changes that I am talking about.

Looking at new Lenses

This is the Sigma 70-200MM f/2.8 Lens. I am trying to find one I can review. If you have this lens and read this blog please e-mail me and let me know what you think of the lens. I would also like to know how well it shoots indoors and outdoors?

Working with Ubuntu Linux 9.10

This is a lot of fun for a techie. I have been installing windows software onto my new Ubuntu Linux computer. We have been testing this out to see if it will work in a school? Have a look at this cool desktop. It’s not a Mac it is 100% Linux. How would you set this up? Buying a New Mac?

Well I am almost ready to take the jump into a new Mac. I am getting the IMAC for the house to replace my running slow PC. I am just stuck now to which one to buy? I am looking at either the 21.5 or the monster 27″? Always makes you wonder why they are only charing $200.00 more for the larger screen? That is so that we have to think before we jump! Pictured here are the 2 Macs I am looking at.

Leaving the Home Phone behind!

I have talked about this before but now I finally cut the cord to the normal telephone lines. I was able to keep my DSL using what is known as a dry loop. This is just a quick way of saying I have Internet without a dial up phone line.

Now I am playing with the idea of using a Skype phone which is only $80.00. Then you sign up for a Skype out service for $3.00 a month for unlimited calls.

Shown here is a picture of the phone. I will let you know how this goes.

G20 Summit Coming To Pittsburgh Pa.

As the World knows by now the G20 is coming to Pittsburgh Pa. I spent some time in the city recently and decided to pay my respect to the G20 by doing this picture. I took this picture while on one of the Gateway Clipper boats. A little time in photoshop and this is what I came up with. Do you sometimes feel that you are in Tech Overload? It just seems like if you are not using some form of technology, that your day is over, might as well just run off to bed! I would like to hear from you, the tech user about how we are all on tech overload.

Building a New Deck On The Pool

Building a new deck is really time consuming. I think every bone in my body is hurting in some form. And it always seems like I am fighting against the rain drops. I hope to get the decking on today, but they are once again calling for rain.
